Catch up on the escapades of the Sunshine Coast's most notorious soft toy. Don't let the soft, hand-knitted exterior fool you. This monkey is full of vengeance, hatred and could strangle you with his tail. He also likes Pina Coladas and walks in the rain.
*heeeere little chicken...

Good morning, my pretties!

Well, I felt like it, so I did. I didn't quite get to Chicken Tonight... but I did make a nice Thai Green Curry. This masterpiece was created using only the finest ingredients, or what we had in the fridge. Freshly Cut! Mushrooms, Thinly Sliced! Carrots, Ice Cold Beanaroonies!, Milk of One Coconut*, Twist-on-Demand Spring Water, a packet of concentrate and a chicken I caught myself, prepared and thinly sliced. As you can see, all top-shelf, choice quality, trademarked stuff. I also tried this rice-looking stuff that was actually pasta... not so good. But everyone likey. Even my little fussy-pants brother ate it all. I liked it because it was just nicely spicy and I got lots of chicken . I am available for lessons. Contact me in the best way you know how.

Alas, I did not get a haircut today. Alyssa was sick and she had to go home. I hope she gets better soon coz apparently she's been sick all week :-/ Maybe on Saturday I can do something about that instead. I'm going to try and convince my two Brisvegas mates to have a cut with me. We're going up to Kondalilla Falls again before lunch. We'll see what happens.

In other news, I am looking for a proper name for my really cool 'Swinger' Monkey. Max, in his own right, is cute and adorable.. and insane... he even has a fan club devoted to him. He's great. But he has a name. And for it, has a much more comfortable place in society. This dude is wicked awesome, just like Max, and needs to be loved and obsessed over just like any other groovy soft toy does. SO COME ON! I'm welcoming suggestions on names for this kick-ass little monkey, who has a history with Max that goes waaayy back apparently. But you wont be able to know about this until you give me a name. Here is a picture of the Funky Munky himself.....

He can do good things! Good things you don't know about!

Max sent me an email the other day. I'm not sure how. He doesn't have an email account and I couldn't see him being very dextrous with those paws of his. He said he didn't want to confront me directly because he thought I didn't like him, or being seen with him, anymore. Crazy I said! Apologised to him, and promised to take him out on an adventure with the guys this weekend. He reckons he's pretty keen on some action of the female persuasion and that if he doesn't get out of the house soon, he'll start destroying things. How could I not oblige the poor guy? I just hope he doesn't lead us astray.

This hot weather really sucks, by the way. Half the day i'm sweating, I can't think straight, we have no air-con, no pool and the airflow in this place makes me think we live in a volcano sometimes. The other day at work we ran out of water, 2kms from the truck, and were pretty thirsty. Lucky (and rather unlucky) for us, it absolutely bucketed down rain in juicy grape-sized droplets, thundered a blew a gale about an hour later. "Ahhhh... cool, fresh rain water..." Great. Now my pants are wet, my boots are filling fast and I have 20kgs of tools and instruments over my shoulder and under my arm. It was nice to be rinsed after nearly cooking earlier in the day but ducking falling branches and clearing debris out from inside the car isn't really my idea of fun. I think it even hailed. Moral of the story? Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk.

Till next time... may cheese not clog your arteries and... be nice to one another.

Spread some love with post-it notes, why don't ya?

*May actually be from a can

He looks like a Johnny to me or 'lil John John. The first thing that popped into mind is him saying "no, I can't, really I can't!"

Godfrey, Gerald, Dudley, Sam, Sammo... suggested by Shelley
